Das neue Efferener Dreigestirn ist offiziell im Amt. Prinz Gerd I. Bauer Guido und Jungfrau Apollonia wurden bei der Proklamation im Haus Burgpark vom Publikum mit überschwänglichem Beifall empfangen.
Nach der Vorstellung durch die Vorsitzende der Ortsgemeinschaft Efferen und der anschließenden Proklamation durch Bürgermeister Walther Boecker konnte Prinz Gerd I. seine Gefühle kaum in Worte fassen: „Wir Drei dürfen unseren Traum nun leben, dafür möchte ich allen danken, die daran mitgeholfen haben, allen voran unseren Frauen und Freuden von der 1. EKG.” Die älteste Karnevalsgesellschaft im Ort stellt im 40. Jahr ihres Bestehens zum zehnten Mal das Efferener Dreigestirn.
Kunterbunt war die Zusammenstellung des Programms. Musikalisch war für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Krawall de Cologne begrüßte die Gäste im Foyer des Burgparks mit gediegenem Jazz op Kölsch. Auf der Bühne im Saal ging es dann deutlich zünftiger zu: Die Kölsch Fraktion, die Klüngelköpp und „Et fussich Julchen Marita Köllner“ heizten den Jecken ordentlich ein. Für das musikalische Highlight des Abends sorgten dann aber unsere Tollitäten: Die Drei brachten den Saal mit einer tollen Showdrumming-Einlage zum Kochen.
Als Redner trat – passend zu einer Proklamation – „Der Sitzungspräsident“ Volker Weininger auf. Als selbsternannter Gralshüter des rheinischen Brauchtums und Frohsinns stimmte er die Jecken auf die tollen Tage ein – gerne auch mit einem kleinen Seitenhieb auf den einen oder anderen Anwesenden im Saal.
Denn hochkarätig wie das Programm war auch das Publikum im Haus Burgpark. 2015 ist in Hürth nämlich auch Wahljahr – die Bürgerinnen und Bürger wählen im September einen neuen Bürgermeister – kein Wunder also, dass die Politik zahlreich vertreten war. Neben dem amtierenden Hürther Bürgermeister Walther Boecker, für den es zugleich auch die letzte Proklamation im Amt war, gehörten u. a. der Bundestabgeordnete Dr. Georg Kippels, der Europaparlamentarier Axel Voss, die Landtagsabgeordnete Rita Klöpper, der ehemalige Landrat, langjährige Bundestags- und amtierende Kreistagsabgeordnete Klaus Lennartz sowie die Bürgermeisterkandidaten von CDU und SPD, Dirk Breuer und Stephan Renner.
